How to be more eco

Do you wish that you could be more eco friendly but you don't know where to start?

Maybe as soon as you start googling you feel overwhelmed?

Perhaps you're already on your way to being an eco warrior but you want to improve that bit more?

As a vegan, sustainable brand we want to share our top sustainability tips so that you can make little changes that ultimately have a big impact.

If we all made small changes to our daily life the positive benefit of that for our home planet mother earth would be huge.

Here's some top tips:

  1. We will start with the basics if you're not using something that uses power switch it off! That includes lights, and charging ports.

  2. Eating less meat has been shown to have a positive impact on the environment, consider becoming vegetarian (or vegan like us!) or alternatively cut down on your red meat intact, not having red meat for two or three days a week can significantly reduce your carbon footprint.

  3. Change your lightbulbs to LED bulbs, not only do they last longer but they are miles more efficient, and you'll use less power.

  4. Switch to eco-friendly cleaning products these have less harmful chemicals in them so will be less damaging to the Earth. Check out Good Housekeepings top cleaning products here.

  5. Limit your time driving, you can try car sharing, taking public transport or maybe even going by bike or on foot! If you are taking the car try to get the most out of it by keeping your speed down, ensuring your types are inflated properly and your engine is running smoothly.

  6. Shop local and try second hand! We absolutely love finding hidden treasures in our local charity and vintage shops, not only can you get a bargain but you can help the planet too!

  7. Support vegan brands, like us! Choose brands who are eco friendly and vegan, as they will make business choices that are more kind to the environment. In our case with our Wuufly mats from start to finish each mat goes on an ethical journey, beginning with being made from natural materials which are earth and animal friendly to being wrapped in completely recyclable acid free tissue paper and then delivered by CO2 neutral means.

There are tons of other ways you can reduce your carbon footprint and be kinder to mother earth!
